Delaware Speedway V8 Stock Division to See Transition

LONDON, ON – The V8 Stock division at Delaware Speedway will see a transition from 2022 forward. The division is moving in the direction of a “break out” rule, where it will basically be open to any V8 non-fuel injected engine car or truck with a 102” wheelbase that meets all safety rules.

A new rules package has been released for the series, emphasising on safety areas. A “break out” time has not yet been set but will be set prior to the season beginning. Any driver that goes faster than the break out time during a race will receive a penalty.

The new format and rules package will breathe new life into the series that has struggled in recent years and allow race vehicles of all shapes and forms to compete in a unique format together. The format is based off Sauble Speedway’s United 8 Series that was launched in 2021 and became a success, seeing many types of race vehicles on track together including Limited Late Models, Super Stocks, Hot Rods and others.

The weekly payouts and points fund for the division has seen a significant increase for the 2022 season and is sure to bring out race vehicles of all backgrounds for this new endeavour for the Speedway.
