Supplier Deals: Still time left to Build a Bone Stock!

There is still time for future competitors to get out of the grandstands and get on the track this season for the Bone Stock 75 in October.  With some competitors wondering if there is still time to get their vehicle together, the answer is: absolutely yes.

“Bone Stock vehicles are incredibly easy to build,” explained event promoter John Houghton.  “An experienced team should be able to put one together in a weekend.  A rookie team should be able to pull it off in about a week, especially if working with some of our suppliers.”

Interest has been very strong heading into the event, backed a strong pre-registration program.  The formula for putting a car together is simple and made easier with offers from speedway suppliers and should not cost more than $1,500 – - the overwhelming majority of which is safety equipment.

The formula:

- Get a completely stock four or six cylinder car (no turbo, no super charger).

- Strip the vehicle per the guidelines.

- Install roll cage and safety equipment.

- Race the car.

The most difficult part of the install is the roll cage.  While it is easy to strip out a car, installing the safety equipment has proven to be a barrier to entry to many.  This barrier can be overcome by taking advantage of offers from speedway suppliers below.  Take advantage of these offers and we will see you on the track in October!

Cage Install

Not everyone knows how to weld a cage safely.  If you don’t then this is for you:

McColl Racing Enterprises: To install a cage in the car, the interior has to be completely gutted and prepared to their specs.  If done to spec, McColl’s is then able to do this about $550 INSTALLED CAGE INCLUDED.  There are a number of factors that influence this price, but having welded a cage on the pilot project car, this struck me as a good offer for those with no experience.  Dan Bugg is the person to talk to at McColls.  1-800-423-3407
