WHAT WILL WE SEE?

Demolition Derby

In this event cars will be placed in a closed arena on the speedway’s front stretch and given a simple instruction: last car running is the winner!  Drivers will try to beat their competition into submission to try to claim the top prize.  Because of the carnage, the Demolition Derby is the final event of the day.

Bone Stock Chaos Car Season Finale

The Bone Stock Chaos Car Series will celebrate the conclusion of their fifth season of competition on Saturday with the running of the Bone Stock 50 at the Pumpkin Smasher.  The event features driver’s in their vehicles that were destined for the junk-yard.  They will push their junk cars to the limit against each other in the speedway’s wildest format.  The series, stretching out from its origins, now has much more in common with the original Enduro series that fans came to know in the 1990s, running a full-speedway course with vehicles left on the track as they are eliminated from competition.

The Bone Stock race is where the “Pumpkin Smasher” gets its name from.  Just before the 50-lapper gets underway, 40 kids from the grandstand will be invited down to the front stretch to smash pumpkins on the track.

The Bone Stock Chaos Cars will be the last series to crown a champion at the track in 2012 and what a battle it will be.  Three drivers sit in the strongest spots to take the top prize with only three on-track positions separating them from the championship.  Derek Moesker (#51) took the lead for the first time this season after Jordan Morris (#73) struggled in the most recent event.  Jack VanHerk (#07) sits just one point back from Moesker, Morris just one point behind that.  Moesker brings a slight advantage to the 50-lap race as the defending winner of the Pumpkin Smasher event.

The Bone Stock Chaos Cars will also be hosting a special ladies only race at 1:30 pm.

The V8 Muscle Cars of the GAW Recycling Enduro

A for-fun race with the big V-8 vintage muscle cars of the GAW Recycling Enduro series will hit the track for one last competition this season.  After last season’s Pumpkin Smasher a number of the drivers of the series wanted to have one last chance to compete before putting their vehicles away for the winter.  The 50-lapper on Saturday gives exactly that opportunity is the last chance for these drivers to put their vehicles on the track before the snow flies.
