August 17 and 18 Weekend Set to Impress

This weekend’s Friday & Saturday programs promise to be full of solid competition and plenty of action at Canada’s Finest Short Track including King of the Hill Spectator’s racing!

Friday, August 17 is sponsored by Oakridge Ford and features the FT Garage Late Models continuing their tight points battle, the Coca-Cola Super Stocks, and the return of classic King of the Hill Spectator’s racing.  The King of the Hill race will run after the Super Stocks and Late Model races.  Entry for street-legal-street-driven vehicles is just a $5 donation to Jesse’s Journey.  The evening of fun will begin at 8:00 pm.  The famous toonie hotdog special will be available from 6pm-7pm.

Saturday, August 17 is sponsored by Transport N Service and showcases the GAW Recycling Enduro and Bone Stock Chaos Cars.  The Enduro series will be making use of a special A&B payout structure which will be adding to the total prize payout on the day and providing drivers who often run for fun towards the back of the back the chance to chase some cash.  With the track’s schedule this season both the Bone Stock and Enduro series have had over a month to prepare for their races.  Racing will get underway at 7:00 pm, there will be a Ladies Only Bone Stock Race at 6:30 pm.

The track’s popular Family Value Passes which allow one adult and up to two kids age 16 and under into the races for $16 or two adults and up to four children age 16 and under for $32 (taxes included) are available on both days.

Camping is also available at the speedway free of charge behind the back stretch for this weekend.
